Cardboard recycling bins to be emptied twice a week

Lately the cardboard recycling bins in the recycling shelter of the housing company have been fully loaded. Due to the Covid-19 situation as well the forthcoming Christmas people are now using a lot of online shops and ordering goods at home which results in the bins been completely packed all of the time.

Therefor the board of the housing company has decided that from now on the cardboard bins will be emptied more often, that is to say, twice a week. We hope that this will help with the bins being full! Please note, however, that cardboard packagings should always be flattened to minimize the amount of space they take in the trash bins.

Extra general assembly Wed 2.12. will be held REMOTELY only

Due to the new Covid-19 restrictions the extra general assembly of the housing company will be held Wed 2.12.2020 at 17.30 remotely only! Participate by a letter/email in advance or via Teams!

The assembly will be held so that participants can join the meeting via Teams or by sending their vote in advance for example by email (unless they have already sent their vote by mail). All shareholders have received an invitation with all the necessary materials and instructions.

We ask you not to come to the meeting place physically!

The housing company will organize an extra general assembly Wednesday 2.12. at 17.30. The meeting will take place in Finnish in the Braleva premisses (Soukantie 13, 02360 Espoo). It is possible to participate also in advance by mail by sending your vote latest 30.11. or joining the meeting remotely through Teams connection.

On the agenda there is changing the articles of the housing company and allowing the installation of air heat pumps / air cooling systems by residents.

The shareholders have received the documents needed by mail as well as instructions how to participate by mail or by Teams. All the necessary documents can also be found on the Huoneistotieto.fi online service. You can log into the service with your online banking ID or mobile ID.

After the extra general assembly at 18.00 there will be an info event for the residents about the outer sheath renovation plan. It will be organized in the same location and/or same Teams link than the general assembly. You can read more about the info event here.

Safety and hygiene

Due to the Covid-19 situation we ask people to preferably participate in advance by mail or remotely via Teams if possible. If you want to participate physically it is extremely important to follow a good hand hygiene and respect the safety distances as well as to wear a mask.

The planning of the outer sheath renovation has been finalized and therefore we will organize an info event for the residents about the project plan. The company who conducted the planning, Vahanen Oy, will present the plan to the residents. The event will be organized in Finnish after the extra general assembly Wednesday 2.12. at 18.00 at the Braleva premisses (Soukantie 13, 02360 Espoo).

In the info event residents can ask questions and tell their views about the plan to Vahanen Oy and to the board of the housing company. However, no decisions about the project will be made yet but a separate general assembly will be arranged for decision making next year. At this point the purpose is only to give information and to discuss about the project plan.

You can participate in the event by showing up or joining the event remotely through Teams-connection (same Teams-link as for the extra general assembly organized right before the event). Information about participating has been sent to each shareholder by mail or by email.

Safety and hygiene

Due to the Covid-19 situation we ask people to preferably participate remotely if possible. If you want to participate physically it is extremely important to follow a good hand hygiene and respect safety distances as well as to wear a mask.

Water fee based on water consumption taken into use in January 2021

From the beginning of the year 2021 the housing company will take into use water meters and therefore the housing company will start charging the water based on the consumption of water in each apartment. The residents will continue to pay a monthly a water fee (same amount as until now) but now it will be considered as a advance payment for the water. The advance payment will be evened out first time at the end of June and second time at the end of the year. Starting from year 2022 the equalization will be made once a year at the end of December.

Annual general meeting will be held 10.9.

The annual general meeting of the housing company will be held 10.9.2020 at 18:00 in the Braleva facilities (address: Soukantie 13). The invitations to the meeting have been sent to the shareholders.

This year due to the coronavirus situation it is also possible to participate by mail or email in advance by communicating in written how you wish to vote about the matters discussed in the meeting. If you wish to participate in advance, please read the invitation letter for further instructions.

NB. The outer sheath renovation will not be discussed in the meeting since the project plan is not finished.

The safety and rescue plan of the housing company has been updated. You will find the plan and all the relevant documents in Finnish at the website of the housing company at www.ylakelo.fi/taloyhtio

Project planning of the outer sheath renovation delayed

The planning of the outer sheath renovation has been delayed because of the covid-19 situation and the extent of the project. The company conducting the planning is Vahanen Oy.

As communicated earlier, the planning includes:

  • Renewal or refurbishment of the roofs
  • Renewal or refurbishment of the balconies
  • Renewal of the balcony railings
  • Renewal or refurbishment of windows and doors
  • Renewal or refurbishment of the facade of the buildings

The project plan will be finalised this autumn and an information event for the shareholders about the project plan will be organized in November 2020. Decisions on the extent of the renovation will be made in an extra general meeting in the beginning of the year 2021.

As the plan is not ready yet, it will not be discussed in the general meeting of the housing company in September 2020 as planned earlier.

Work party “talkoot” will be held 10.10.

The communitys traditional work party will be held again on Saturday 10.10. starting at 2pm. Together we prepere our yard for winter!

We provide rakes, brushes and other utensils as well as barbecue sausages. You can bring your own garden gloves if you wish. Come to see your neighbors and have some fun outdoors. After working together we have a barbecue feast in the backyard.
